What I'm Currently Looking Forward To
In order to keep myself going I've made a list of dates that will make the last five weeks of school go by so much faster. Although two of these weeks I can just sit around and relax (the two weeks after Darien Lake are for exams and I only have to take one on the Tuesday of the second week. :) )
May 12th: Superintendent's Day- No School!
May 17th-21st: Monday- Geek Day, Tuesday- Hawaiian Day, Wednesday- Celebrity Day, Thursday- Jungle Day, Friday- Color Wars & pep rally.
May 22nd: Senior Prom
June 11th: Senior trip to Darien Lake
June 13th: I turn 18!
June 26th: Graduation
June 27th: My Graduation Party
Now I just have to get the rest of my schoolwork done. And all of them are final projects.

AP Exams... Yikes?
Spring break is now over, and all I have to show for my time spent at home, is a seventeen page AP English poet paper.
Saturday, the first day of break, Sean and I just sat on the couch and watched t.v. all day. Five o'clock rolled around, and we hadn't moved at all. I turned to Sean and said, "Okay, so after today, we can't do this anymore because mom has to work downstairs and listen to the t.v. and dad's going to get mad that we did nothing but watch t.v. all day. We're going to have to find something to do, because we can't have another day like this." Sunday comes around, and I found something to do (I think, I don't really remember?). Sean just moved to the basement. Monday, I had my streak re-done, and Tuesday I spent all day reading books (of my choice) and by the end of Tuesday, I was starting my fifth. Sean was still in the basement either playing videogames, watching t.v. or on the computer.
Then it was Wednesday. I have a runny nose and an itchy throat. "Its probably just allergies" my mom says. So I take my allergy medicine and ahh, temporary relief. On this day I planned on starting my poet paper. 10-12 pages in writing, not including a works cited and an appendix. My initial thought for this paper was to type single-spaced so that I only really had to write five or six pages. I was able to get page one done, and then Chelsea wanted to go run. Unfortunately, my sneakers are in my gym locker at the school. So instead, we play Frisbee, volleyball, some football and then go for a walk. After that it was time for work. When I come home, I'm not in the mood to write, so I shower and go to bed. Now its Thursday, and I take Sean out of the house to go buy James Cameron's Avatar. OHMIGOD, one of my favorite movies ever. We watched that Thursday night and it was still AMAZING. Mrs. Agar has already requested to borrow it. :) Friday, Saturday and Sunday all passed in the same fashion; me sitting at the computer, staring at the screen waiting for words to appear in my head so I could type them out, thus creating my poet paper.
This paper of mine, requires an appendix, and a works cited page. These are separate from my paper, and aren't included in the number of pages needed. My works cited was almost three pages of sources, and my appendix was four pages. All together, my paper was seventeen pages. Ten of which (I think) are solid pages full of interesting and relevant information. The extra bonus? I handed it in on time. WOO HOO. So proud of myself. So the next week was going over Native Son, and preparing for APs.
I have (now had) only one AP exam. English Literature and Composition. Now, if you ask me, the only was to really "study" for english is to remember everything you ever learned in your high school english career. Me, I had burned my English materials every year previously (excluding last year because I actually enjoyed Mrs. Borrelli's class). So, in a matter of speaking, I thought I was screwed. Not a very positive vibe going on huh? According to my teacher however, the best way to study is to practice, practice, practice. My class was giving multiple choice questions (or packets) and essay questions with the answer keys to the multiple choice, and writing examples from previous students for the essays. Now that's all fine and dandy, but how is practicing multiple choice going to help me on the exam? All the questions are different, and most of the time, I only got about half of them right (sometimes a little less). The essays, well, there was no way I could practice writing and be able to write better, or faster during the test. I'm a slow writer, just like when I draw, I take a little longer to make sure my details are correct and it doesn't look or seem like I rushed.
Today, I took the AP English exam. I started out fine but towards the end of the first hour designated for the multiple choice, I was in a bunch. Turns out I had been timing myself for four multiple choice sections, when there were really five. OOPS. So during the last 15- 20 minutes, I tried to get as much done as possible. Time ran out, and I had six multiple choice questions left. (OH NO.) So at this point I'm freaking out a little bit because if I can't even finish the multiple choice, there's no way I'm going to be able to write three good essays in two hours (that's forty minutes per essay for those of you who don't do math.) Now, writing in general makes me upset. I don't like to write when I'm only given what's in my head (from memory) or a short paragraph on the history of something, or a quote to base an entire essay off of. It's not fun. I don't enjoy it. I'm the kind of person that sits around doing nothing, waiting for an idea to START a paper in my head, before I can actually write anything.
Its a good thing I knew what I was doing for these essays because I had them all set up before I was done reading the excerpts. So I think I did okay... hopefully I'll pass. I didn't cry like I thought I was going to. I was so proud of myself. :D
And now, APs are over (for me anyways), I have my statistics exam at the end of the month, and the only exam I have left to take is the Regents Physics exam on the second week of finals at the end of June! Whoopee! So here I am, all the stress from English gone, and the stress of finishing all my art projects is going to hit me in a week or two... I should probably get to it.
Hahahahahaha, I'm so giddy from finishing this exam, and THIS NEW AMAZING LAPTOP THAT MY MOMMA JUST BOUGHT! its pretty sweet :)

Formulas, Formats and no Fun at all.
Midterm grades are in and the only thing they're telling me is that I suck.
I try, I really do. But the only response to my infuriating stupidity is that I need to study more (meaning I need to focus on what I'm doing and not sit on the couch watching t.v. all the time). Honestly, I don't want to read a book, and then analyze it through twenty journal entries with quotes supporting specific themes and motifs. Its not fun. This then leads to me reading the book (which I loved btw) and not writing anything down because I wasn't reading to critique or find hidden meanings in the book. Its kind of painful to have to sit down and think, "Well why did she pick the color red? What does this symbolize? Why does the color red serve ANY PURPOSE AT ALL? Why am I doing this? I have no freaking clue why she chose this to describe this and mean this, this and this!" I feel like an idiot sometimes because I don't think of things that my teacher wants me to come up with on my own. And what do I get out of this? A major headache, the need to much on snacks as I think, and several hours of lost sleep. It's unfortunate that I can't afford to have senioritis. A full schedule with no study halls, and an independent study program gives me no time to think, get everything sorted out and finished.
But other than that, I've been accepted into three schools; Brockport, Cortland and Marquette, I have a senior breakfast this Friday at Bristol Mountain where I will then proceed to ski ALL DAY :) and I have a plan with my friend Ireland to dress up in insane clothing (following the theme of Alice in Wonderland, coming out March 5th starring Johnny Depp!), go out to dinner and see the movie. I plan on dressing as the Mad Hatter, who is played (coincidentally) by Johnny Depp. It is going to be sooo much fun- I cannot wait! :D
February break is arriving soon, and hopefully it will allow me to catch up on my journals and such, as well as having my room painted and cleaned so that I am no longer allergic to all the nastiness in it.
And now, it is time for me to work on my book project for advanced drawing & painting, and my physics packet which will most likely cause my brain to fizzle out and shut down.

College
This summer was a blur.
The Fall came and went, and colleges were visited.
I'm finished with all the college applications now. The deadline for rolling or regular admission is today. So now all I have to do is wait for an answer from the five schools I applied to. [Hobart & William Smith, Binghamton, Cortland, Marquette, and Brockport (as a back up)]
The first snow was today!! :) I wore white to celebrate the occasion of December 1st. It was so pretty outside this morning! I'm so excited for Christmas- I've already finished shopping for Chelsea, Merrie, and Sean. I'm so excited! YAY!
Last night I put all the Christmas music I had on my iPod :P. Right now I'm in Environmental. And the set is going to end. So I'm going to sign off.
Peace!

The Last Spirit Day
This week was Spirit Week. Monday was Sports Day, Tuesday; Cowboy/ Cowgirl Day, Wednesday; Retro Day, Thursday; Disney/ Superhero Day, and Friday is Spirit Day. The Last High School Spirit Day. I missed Retro Day :/ I was in Cortland looking at the Jets' Training Camp- :P Four Colleges down, five to go.
So Chelsea, Kelly, Joey, Gabe, Ireland, and a bunch of other people made Senior shirts and that's what a bunch of us wore today. Written on them were a bunch of inside jokes between friends from over the summer and last year. I covered mine in Sharpie highlighter :) Seniors totally killed today: we owned in the bat race, the toilet paper race, and the cheer off :D! Yayyy. I was pretty loud today. Everybody got mad at me because I was "Screaming in their ears"- blah blah. I'm sorry if I'm louder than all of you and no, I will not stop no matter how many times you tell me to "shut the hell up." This year we weren't interrupted like we were last year for the individual sports teams- all the seniors came down on to the gym floor for the pie eating contest while Jenny (last year's captain) was still talking. I had a little chat with Mr. Nelson after that. So we went down to the floor, and JV decided to come too. JV stands up. They aren't supposed to go down to the floor- which is new btw, it looks amazing. So it was a pretty good Last Spirit Day.

Legal?!
Birthday Week:
I finished my Civil Engineering (& Architecture) exam- I think I did sooooo much better on the part B and part C. I think I do a lot better when I can solve equations rather than pick answers... I got the same grade on the multiple choice as Joey! HA TAKE THAT JOEY. It still kinda sucks though, because we both did worse than this one kid who NEVER paid any attention in class, but at least we didn't fail! :D! I'm nervous for my grade now.
Thursday, I had my first road test. I failed. Bummin' man. I'm scheduled again for the 24th of July in the same place so hopefully I won't fail, and I'll be able to go straight to my senior license.
My birthday was Saturday! I'm seventeen and legal in NY State! haha.
Chelsea had a bonfire on Saturday night, half for my birthday of course, but nobody really knew (s'all good) and she made me a confetti cake (from scratch). It was yummy! She also gave me the best card EVER. We love going to Tops in Avon and spending hours listening to the cards that play music and whatnot, so she bought me a card with robots on it, and when you open it, it plays Mr. Roboto by the Styx. :) I love it, but I accidently left it at her house... oops?!
Today Mimi and Papa came over for a delicious dinner (some kind of chicken- it was SO good) and Mimi made me a confetti cake too! It was so good! Then me and Sean created Wii Mii's for Mimi and Papa- I totally nailed Mimi's Mii. Haha. We all had fun playing on the Wii.
I love my presents; I got the latest James Patterson- Maximum Ride book (MAX), I got a really comfortable pair of flip flops from Bath & Body Works, a giftcard for Aeropostale, running headphones and an armband iPod holder so I don't have to hold my iPod when I run. (Thank you Momma!)
So pretty much over all it was a good birthday.
Plus, I don't have to get up tomorrow morning :) hehe.

BLARG!
The last couple of weeks were a blur.
This week is insane.
Next week, it'll be so bad I'll want to cry.
I'll want this year to be over halfway through my first exam, but I'll have 4 more to go.
Took the Civil Engineering/ Architecture test today (Part A; multiple choice). Pretty sure I'm going to want to cry after DeCarlo reads off my grade...
I've got to work at 4 today until 8, finish my studyguide (very long packet) for U.S. History tomorrow, and study for a PreCalc test tomorrow. I hate logs oh so very much.
Thursday I have my road test and I really hope I pass because I'm not the only one sick of having to have a parent in the car.
Friday is the last day of school. Oh Joy! But then that means exams start the next week. I have Monday off. Tuesday I have U.S. History in the Morning. Wednesday I have Part I of the English exam in the morning, then Chemistry (with the negative curve) in the afternoon. Thursday morning I have Part II of the English exam. I have Friday off :). Then its the weekend and I'm taking a break to relax. Monday I have my PreCalc exam. I'll be crying again.
And to add to all that, I'll be working AND I have to find time in between to run so that my dad doesn't absolutely kick my butt in the 5K up in Utica. Fun, fun, fun.... I should probably start working out on the Wii more...
Oh. My. Goodness.
(Takes a deep breath...)
Sean and I saw up last weekend. :D! Favorite movie ever. I'm going to buy it as soon as it comes out on DVD. I LOVE THIS MOVIE (squirrel!) It was hysterical- Sean and I were laughing the whole time, except for at the beginning, where I'm pretty sure we were both sniffling and trying not to cry in public.... aha. If you have not seen this movie, I recommend you go see it right now. Don't even bother to log off your computer, just go. Don't even close this screen, just go.
I mean it.
GO SEE UP! :D
Hahaha, My birthday's this weekend too. Chelsea said she was going to have a bonfire and mix it with my birthday, so she'd have to make a cake... But this morning Ireland said it was going to be on the 20th... don't see how that's going to work. Oh well.
Well this set's over, so PEACE OUT. Its time for English.
